ISN Bureau, Durgapur : Amidst allegations and counter-allegations and clashes here and there the polling in the various booths of Kanksa are slowly pacing up. In the first 2 hours, a total polling of 10.36 % has been recorded in the Kanksa Block. The candidates of the ruling party are complaining that they were debarred entry to Kanksa Gopalpur by the central forces.
Trinamool candidate Chandana Pal said, “Central forces are not allowing the candidates to enter the booths here. But candidates of all parties are able to enter in other booths”. The candidate complained that she fails to understand what is happening inside. However, voters are saying “there is no problem, and voting is going on peacefully”.
Meanwhile, BJP workers have accused Trinamool workers of beating up a BJP candidate Vicky Chaurasia in Booth No. 32 of Haripur Panchayat of Pandaveshwar. CPIM leader Pankaj Roy Sarkar complained that central forces are not seriously discharging their duties in Pandaveshwar. Civic volunteers are controlling the voting. Pankaj Roy Sarkar further alleged that the presiding officer threw out the CPIM agent at Booth No. 4 of Pandaveshwar Block. Moreover, in Durgapur Faridpur, Kanksa, Trilok Chandrapur, Pratappur, Prayagpur and Gopalpur, the ruling party workers are not allowing CPIM agents to enter the polling stations.
